My favorite 3 places to bike in Toronto in summer

Happy Sunday guys!! One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to explore new places by bike! I literally go everywhere by bike. I live downtown Toronto so having a car would be crazy for me.

Some of my favorite places to go by bike at a reasonable distance from downtown Toronto are:

  1. High Park: It’s a beautiful and huge park with a little zoo. It’s perfect for picnics as it features grassy areas and lots of shade. It’s also great for big get togethers. The only disadvantage is that BBQs are not allowed here. You can do picnic here and spend the whole day in nature! This park is lovely in the fall when trees start changing colours.

  1. HarbourFront: I probably go to Toronto’s harbourfront at least once a week. It’s so lively and fun in the summer. I love walking by the water. There are also plenty of food and art festivals here during the summer. You can bring your own picnic here or sit on a patio and enjoy the views and the good weather. This is a must stop.

  1. Trillium Park: Believe it or not this used to be a parking lot, but now it’s probably the most gorgeous park in Toronto. You get to enjoy nature while seeing Toronto’s beautiful skyline. As much as Trillium Park is a great place to lounge, there are trails to satisfy those looking for a casual walk around the grounds or a diversion from their bike rides. The park is next to the water which ensures that there’s a nice breeze while biking (always needed!)

My bike is from Everyday Bicycles and it’s super comfortable. This city bike is perfect for travelling around. I love being able to sit up straight instead of leaning over to grip the handlebars (my bag definitely appreciates it!).

I specially love the colour and shape… very European!  I am getting lots of compliments on the colour as it is very unique. If brown and blue it’s not your colour, it also comes in many more colours and it’s available at Canadian Tire stores.

And a big plus of this bike for me is that I can add a basket. Even just to put the purse or your shopping in it makes a huge difference. It’s wonderful not having to put the bags in the handles and trying to keep the balance!

If you are looking for a bike to bike in town, you should definitely check out this one!

XOXO,

What a cool bike! I haven’t ridden in years, but just told my husband I want to get back riding after we move! It’s such a fun way to get exercise.
