White is one of my favorite colours. It really brightens up my face and makes me look more tanned (big plus for me!)
And I clearly don’t follow that rule that says no white after labour day! Even if the fashion world is much more relaxed when it comes to what colours to wear each season, there are still people that say that wearing white after labour day is totally unacceptable. In case you didn’t know, this rule was made up by snobby millionaires about a 100 years ago who decided that white outside summer was a fashion no-no. What do you think of this rule?
Wearing white and specially a white dress it’s all about layering. This dress features a plunging V neck but to be honest it’s a bit too revealing for me. So I layered with a nice neutral tone scarf which also keeps me warm. White is a colour that allows any print or colours so have fun with it when layering it.
This dress is pretty short, which I guess it’s fine for summer, but for this time of the year I decided to pair the dress with some otk boots to give the illusion of a longer dress (or at least not as short!). I honestly love these wide heel boots. They are perfect for all the events I attend where I want to look dressed up but kind of casual, and the wide heel does exactly that. And let me tell you that with jeans these boots look even better!
